The retainer will only be refunded if the session is forced to cancel due to dangerous weather. If I’m unable to make the session for whatever reason, the deposit will also be returned.

  • All sessions offered by Unborn Legacy Photography are laid-back, fun experiences. The amount of preparation is completely up to you, but there are several suggestions. Outfit changes may be available depending on sessions, so make sure to bring different options. Always dress appropriately for the weather, but you can wear anything from casual, dressy, or horse show attire. Having the hair and makeup done is suggested, but I encourage you to prepare yourself in a way that makes you the most comfortable! You will also receive a full guide when you book a shoot that will help you in various ways.

  • Yes! I have a thin photography halter we can use to help keep your horse secure and safe while photographing them throughout the farm’s property. It will be removed in post production, giving you the desired look of a natural horse in its environment.

  • Not one bit! Most dogs I photograph are on a leash and the leash is edited out in post-production. This allows us and your dog(s) to stay safe while getting their portraits done.

  • Yes, I’d love to have them along in the photoshoot. I have NO additional fee for 1 dog. If more than 1 dog, It’ll be $50 per dog. They can be included in natural settings or fine art portraits.

  • The fine art sessions require a fully shaded doorway wide enough for your horse to stand and turn around in. A barn aisle with a hard floor is preferred, but an arena doorway or an open garage door will also work! I do advise that the area we would work in should be clean, lights to be turned off, and additional doors to be closed. I DO NOT use flash lighting and backdrops due to the safety of your horse, you, and myself.

  • As for the horses, I'd suggest you do whatever show preparation that you might do for a competition, for example: clipped, clean, hooves painted, makeup, and clean bridle. Please lunge your horse for at least 30 minutes before my arrival to have them in a calm setting. If their personality is already calm, this is not needed. I also always recommend having a second person there to help if at all possible, especially with outfit changes!
